John Singh · what I collect, and what I don’t · updated 14 October 2026
RosterPress has its own
privacy note, which covers the tool, its purchases
through Link and its support mailbox. This page covers this website and freelance jobs.
The short version: this site doesn’t track you. If you buy something or email me,
what you send is used only for the job, and you can ask me to delete it.
This website
No analytics, no cookies, no tracking scripts, and no forms that send anything to me.
The speed check sends the address you type from your browser
straight to Google PageSpeed Insights, which opens on Google’s own site, under Google’s privacy
policy and cookies. This site doesn’t receive or store it.
The catalog check runs in your browser: it reads the product list
of the store you type straight from that store, which, like any site you visit, sees your browser’s
request. This site doesn’t receive or store the address or the results, and the list you can
download is made in your browser.
The speed demo’s before and after pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and the before page loads
scripts from cdnjs (Cloudflare), the way a real store would. Like any site you visit, those services
see your browser’s request.
Stripe’s checkout, the demo store (hosted by Shopify) and the Google and Shopify pages I link to
are those companies’ own sites, under their own privacy policies.
If you buy something or email me
What I get: your email address and the name and billing details you enter at
Stripe’s checkout (such as country and postal code), your store’s address, and whatever you write
to me.
Payments: Stripe processes them, under
Stripe’s privacy policy. Your card details go to Stripe.
I never see your full card number; Stripe shows me details such as the card’s brand, last four
digits, expiry and country, and the results of its fraud checks.
Your store: during a job I have the collaborator access you approve, and I use
it only for that job. I don’t copy your customers’ personal details out of your store. You can
remove my access at any time from your Shopify admin.
What it’s used for: doing the job, replying to you, receipts and refunds, and
tax records. It’s never sold, never used for advertising, and never added to a mailing list.
Who else handles it: the services I run the work on, such as Stripe for
payments and Google for email, each under its own privacy policy.
How long I keep it
Our emails stay in my mailbox, and the job’s notes in my files, so I can answer questions, fixes,
refunds or a card dispute about the work. I delete them when you ask, unless a dispute is still open.
Payment records are kept as long as US tax rules require, and Stripe keeps its own records under its
privacy policy.
Seeing or deleting your details
Email johnnassersingh@gmail.com to see what I hold
about you, to correct it or to delete it. I reply within one working day. The only things I can’t
delete are what tax rules say I must keep, what Stripe holds under its own policy, and, while a card
dispute is open, the records it needs.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too. The terms for jobs are on the
terms page.
